It's Time for Change
"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed, citizens can change the world . Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has."
Margaret Mead
Welcome to my webpage this website addresses the significant challenge of competing against entrenched political establishments. It seems no matter how hard you try and how much money you spend you can't compete with the well-oiled Red and Blue machine. Every time you think it will be different you get disappointed.
People don't understand how preference voting works they think putting an Independent number 2 will somehow help.
I believe in the power of the people. Those that wish for change cannot sit back and expect it just to happen. Meaningful change requires active participation Apart from a few fantastic helpers during this election, I ran it alone with very little help. Try finding coverage for 10 hours for 10 polling stations. I want better for future generations, not just 4-year term promises.
This election was pretty disappointing with one party buying votes with promises. With club members volunteering at polling stations on the promise of a new clubhouse their words not mine.
Landsdale resident, who was casting his vote at Madeley Primary School, thought Mr Labor had it in the bag. “You see Mr Labor around, but not the liberal he said. “I think Labor has this seat pretty comfortably. The Liberals have got to do a bit more.”
What really moved the needle for the Landsdale resident was the $500,000 Labor says it will invest into a new student services hub for Madeley Primary School — where his daughter will start school.
Another voter unaware that there is more to life than Red or Blue.
No doubt we will see an end to homelessness, the housing crisis, the cost of living nightmare and job creation. Surely the Iplex pipes nightmare will come to an end for homeowners, sarcasm intended.
My guiding principle ”Nothing changes if Nothing changes” reflects my belief that we deserve more than the stagnant options of traditional party politics. An Independent can vote freely for polices that truly benefit the people. My objective is to secure a better future for generations to come
Ask yourself! Do you think it's OK for parties to be spend millions in campaigns, while a large majority of people are struggling to pay bills or even eat?
